Destination Nepal

When it comes to Himalayan travel, most everyone naturally thinks of Nepal. From the southern plains, bordering on India, the roads heading north begin their precipitous climb to the towering Himalayas on he border with Tibet.  Here, the southern face of the Everest, the world’s tallest mountain, dominates the surrounding Khumbu region, home to the renowned Sherpas.  The Everest region is legendary for its amazing trekking experiences, rewarding us as with several exquisitely beautiful Alpine valleys and meadows and Himalayan peaks of dizzying heights.  From the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar to the amazing views of Everest from the 18,000-foot Kala Pattar, a Nepali trekking experience is truly rewarding. Of course, our Nepali trekking tours visit the fantastic and fabled Kathmandu.  Here, you can wander the bazaars and historic sites of Nepal’s capital, as well as the beautiful Buddhist stupa at Swayambunath and the thriving Tibetan Buddhist community at Bodnath.

Until recently the world’s only Hindu kingdom, Nepal is now the world’s newest democracy.  Long troubled by its ongoing Maoist insurgency, recent political developments in Nepal portend for a positive future for the small Himalayan nation.  With several encouraging signs emanating out of Nepal, we are confident that this charming land will once again re-emerge as one of Asia’s primary travel destinations.

We are constantly monitoring the political climate, and maintain daily contact with our tour operators in Nepal, so you can rest assured that we will be prepared with contingency plans if necessary
